AMERICAN GRAFFITI
Rated as one of the TOP 100 movies of all time...
Many of us are old enough to remember what Cruisin' was like in the past.  However, there are some of you that may not be "that old", and do not fully understand the history or culture behind this American past-time.
To understand just a little of what it was like, find a copy of the movie "American Graffiti", rated as the best Cruisin' movie of all time!

TWO LANE BLACKTOP
Filmed in 1971, this rather hard to find movie, really captures much of what "street and drag racing" was like in the late '60's and early '70's.   Some of the footage in this movie is incredible, but the plot and acting are so-so.   However, you will really enjoy following a young James Taylor (the singer) and Dennis Wilson (Beach Boys) as they drive their primered grey 1955 Chevy across America.   This film not only takes you back in time, but also gives you a flavor of the culture, of what the past was really like.

An interesting point for those unaware, but the '55 Chevy in this movie is the same one from American Graffiti, with some heavy upgrades and a '70's kind of flare added.  The car is an historic piece of Movie Land.

If anything, this movie will leave you with an empty feeling, and a yearning for a by-gone era of fast cars, open highways, and high-octane fuel.  Something I hear many of you talk about while "Cruisin' on Main Street".
